U.S. 6 at Loveland Pass in Colorado back open after avalanche threat

UPDATE: Wednesday, Oct. 28, 3:05 p.m. Central time: Colorado DOT says U.S. 6 at Loveland Pass is now back open.

According to Denver’s CBS affiliate, U.S. Highway 6 at Loveland Pass in Colorado is closed due to avalanche danger.

The Colorado DOT confirmed this via Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

Denver’s CW news affiliate said the road will be reopened at 3 p.m. local time.
