Free health screenings, demos available at GATS

Returning to the Great American Trucking Show this year will be the Landstar Health and Wellness Pavilion, which will offer show attendees the opportunity to receive a number of free or discounted health screenings, along with cooking and nutrition demonstrations and more. GATS will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas, Aug. 23-25. Free registration for GATS is available here.

In the Health Pavilion during the show, the National Kidney Foundation will offer kidney screenings; OnRamp to Health will host a blood drive; Accuscreen will provide discounted U.S. Department of Transportation physicals; Dr. John’s Medical Solutions will be offering prostate screenings, A1C tests, blood sugar tests, vein evaluations, sleep apnea screenings and blood pressure tests; and more.

There will also be cooking, fitness and educational demonstrations throughout the show to help teach drivers how they can be healthier while out on the road.

Those who register for GATS before July 31 will be entered into the Great GATS Giveaway for a chance to win one of three prizes.

The grand prize includes two-night accommodations, two VIP concert passes, two GATS VIP preview passes, a tag-along with a Pride & Polish judge, a $250 pre-paid credit card and a $50 voucher to the GATS show store. The second prize includes two-night accommodations, two GATS VIP preview passes, a $150 pre-paid credit card and a $35 voucher to the GATS show store. The third prize includes two-night accommodations, two GATS VIP preview passes, a $100 pre-paid card and a $25 GATS show store voucher.
