Truckers can now use Pilot Flying J’s mobile app, myPilot, to help find parking at a number of PFJ locations.

So far, the company has added wireless traffic sensors to 30 PFJ locations along the I-5 corridor from San Diego to Seattle, as well as one location in Knoxville, Tenn., that will feed real-time parking information to the app. The company says it is looking to add sensors to more PFJ locations in 2018.

“As parking continues to be a major industry issue…we are investing more time and resources into technology to ensure we’re doing everything we can to provide drivers a safe, reliable place to park,” said Ken Parent, president of Pilot Flying J.

Drivers will also be able to view and purchase Prime Parking spots through the app. PFJ partnered with Sensys Networks to add the sensors to certain locations and provide the information through the app.
