Clean Lucille: Owner-op’s freshly polished Peterbilt

Owner-operator Coby Heard uploaded this picture of his blue Peterbilt, which he calls Lucille, to Overdrive’s Reader Rig gallery earlier this week. The photo was taken in front of Big Boyz Toyz in Rayburn, La., following a “bath and polish,” Heard says.

EPA to end DEF derates, roll back emissions warranty reg

Instead of the truck derating toward shutdown in steps with a DEF fault, the rule proposes that the driver or machine operator would receive an audible or visible alert. The engine would operate normally. At once, longer required manufacturer warranties of emissions equipment will be eliminated, too.
