Unified Carrier Registration board meeting to be held Thursday
The board came under fire recently after a court ruled it violated federal open meetings laws by holding a meeting on Sept. 14 without notifying the public. During that meeting, the board voted to reduce carrier registration fees for 2018 and 2019, which the court did not strike down.

FMCSA delays ELD compliance for ag haulers for 90 days
Truckers hauling agriculture loads and livestock will receive an additional 90 days to comply with the U.S. DOTâs electronic logging device mandate, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration announced Monday. The waiver gives such haulers until mid-March to adopt an ELD.
