C.R. England regs waiver for pre-CDL drivers renewed
The exemption allows commercial learner’s permit holders that have passed the CDL skills test but not yet received their CDL to drive a C.R. England truck while a CDL holder is in the truck, but not necessarily in the front seat, effectively allowing a team operation.

FMCSA proposes rules to ease new drivers’ transition into trucking
FMCSA issued a rule proposal to extend the expiration date of commercial learner’s permits from 180 days to a full year, as well as a proposal to allow current and former military members who drove a truck in the military to waive the CDL knowledge test.

Florida legislature eyeing December 2018 ELD deadline for intrastate carriers, California uncertain
