Yes, according to the Motor Carrier Regulatory Reform coalition. Too many around the industry conflate âpreventabilityâ with fault, creating blowback potential particularly for truckers with accidents on their record for which they have no legal liability yet that get deemed âpreventableâ and labeled as such.

DOT moves to add a form of crash accountability to CSA system
If the proposed program is made final, carriers â including owner-operators â will be able to dispute certain types of crashes via the existing DataQs system and potentially have the associated points and weighting removed from their Crash Indicator BASIC ranking in CSA.
