The season has been so successful, in fact, the series has announced it will be back for its second season in 2018. While he’s not ready to name any tracks specifically, Madsen says the series will expand its footprint next year, while also expanding the field of trucks.

’88 Mike’ Morgan closes gap on Ricky ‘Rude’ Proffitt in Bandit points standings

Morgan has won the last two of the series’ races after Proffitt ran of a string of three consecutive wins before that. Proffitt still leads in the overall points standings approximately halfway through the 13-race season, but Morgan is closing the gap.

For his win, Mike Morgan earned a $10,000 check. Finishing behind Morgan were Tommy Boileau, Ricky “Rude” Proffitt, Allen Boles and Chris Kikelhan. Through five races, Proffitt holds the lead in the overall series points, followed by Morgan and Justin Ball.
