Proffitt drove his No. 14 truck hard into turn three on the last lap Saturday, bumping Chris Kikelhan’s No. 01 lapped truck in front of then-leader Justin Ball to get around both trucks and earn the win.

Ricky ‘Rude’ Proffitt picks up second Bandit truck racing win, series heads to South Carolina

Allen Boles jumped out to an early lead in the race, gaining nearly a full straightaway lead on the rest of the 13-truck field. A caution flag took the wind out of Boles’ sails with less than 10 laps to go in the 25-lap race, and Proffitt was able to take advantage.

The race will be held at Montgomery Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 13. The heat races for the Bandit Series will begin at 6:30 p.m. Central with the feature race scheduled for later in the evening.

New Bandit big rig racing circuit hits tracks next month, offers $50k per race

A new racing series featuring Class 8 trucks in oval track races starts its first full season next month in North Carolina. The Bandit Big Rig Series, which offers a total purse of $50,000 at each event, will host 13 races this season, culminating in a finale in late October in Cordele, Ga.
