Intrastate ELD mandates: California enforcement deadline likely to be late 2020, Oregon this year
California is planning to seek an intrastate adoption of the electronic logging device mandate that is likely to impose a deadline of December 31, 2020, for intrastate carriers. Oregon will enforce on the federal timeline Dec. 18 this year.

Wisconsin intrastate ELD mandate not adopted, may implement on delayed timeline
The June-published map of states’ adoption plans for the ELD mandate for intrastate operations included Wisconsin on the list of those likely to adopt on the same enforcement timeline as the interstate rule, but reps there now say a delay for intrastate operations is likely.

Bill would expand California lemon law to cover commercial trucks
SB 713 would modify the current California lemon law to newly apply to trucks heavier than 10,000 lbs. and under the operation of a business, without size exclusions, up to 18 months from the date of delivery or 100,000 miles of operation, whichever comes first.
