Love’s opens new location in Chanute, Kan.

Love’s Travel Stops is continuing its busy start to 2017 with the announcement of a new location in Chanute, Kan., at U.S. Highway 169 and 190th Road.

The store is the 22nd for Love’s in Kansas and the second along U.S. Highway 169. The other is located in Nowata, Okla., approximately 70 miles south of Chanute.

The new location offers drivers an Arby’s restaurant, 38 truck parking spaces, Cat scales and more.

Mark the day with the 2001 379 of owner-operator Patrick White, who suffered a broken leg in August, unable to work for a time. Today, he's back on the horse, and the Whites note they benefited from some help from lenders, but also "from a few close friends and our family. We are very grateful this year for sure," said Patrick's wife, Ashlyn. Here's to giving thanks, and a big thanks to all of you for who you are and what you do.
