  • Fresh Express, Salinas, Calif., named Jim and Lisa Piper of KLLM Transport Services, Jackson, Miss., Drivers of the Year.
  • Ryder Systems, Miami, named Clarence Fields, Leroy Askew and William Taylor Drivers of the Year for 2000.
  • Malone Freight Lines, Birmingham, Ala., honored Tyrone Butterbaugh for 2 million miles of safe driving and 20 years of service as an independent contractor.

Trism hosts Scout Day

Trism, Kennesaw, Ga., hosted its annual Scout Day with 77 scouts from the Atlanta area seeking their Transportation merit badges. Trism drivers and the Georgia Motor Transport Association taught the scouts about transportation services, operations, equipment and driving in No-Zones.
