U.S. Xpress moves wreaths

National carrier U.S. Xpress is helping a nonprofit outreach move wreaths to five grave sites across the nation. The outreach, Wreaths Across America, places wreaths at the grave sites of more than 100,000 veterans each year during the holidays.

Driver Ted Wilson made the 1,400-mile wreath-hauling trip, beginning at the charity’s headquarters in Harrington, Maine, to the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn. Wilson made stops in Winchester, Va., Beaver, W.Va., and Knoxville, Tenn., to deliver wreaths. The carrier also raised more than $2,500 via an employee fund-raiser and a corporate contribution to help the charity purchase the wreaths.
