Loves opens new Fla. stop

A new Love’s Travel Stop is open in Cottondale, Fla., at exit 130 off Interstate 10.

The stop has 98 truck spaces, DEF dispensers at the diesel islands, CAT scales, five showers, RFID cardless fueling technology and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center. It also includes a Chester’s Chicken and a McDonald’s restaurant.

Truck drivers will receive double “I Love Rewards” loyalty points on purchases at the new location through Oct. 29.

EPA to end DEF derates, roll back emissions warranty reg

Instead of the truck derating toward shutdown in steps with a DEF fault, the rule proposes that the driver or machine operator would receive an audible or visible alert. The engine would operate normally. At once, longer required manufacturer warranties of emissions equipment will be eliminated, too.
