Former Prime Inc. lease owner-operator Siphiwe Baleka recently returned from the “San Diego or Bust” bicycle transport tour. Baleka competed and finished in eighth place in the Men’s 40-44 division of the ITU San Diego Spring Triathlon, and he and driver Mike Edwards carried 81 bicycles across the country for athletes competing in the race.

USA Triathlon, in an effort to promote the ITU San Diego triathlon, offered athletes the opportunity for the first time to ship their bikes race ready at no cost.

Baleka also started Fitness Trucking Inc., a company that provides drivers with a series of exercises on DVD that can be performed while in the truck or just outside the cab in 30 minutes or less. The 41-year-old driver’s participation in swimming and triathlon competitions began as a part of the fitness program. Last year, Baleka won first place for the Men’s 40-44 Olympic division at the Rev3 Series triathlon and national championships at the U.S. Masters Swimming, competed in the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships and was invited to join the Endurance Films Racing Team.
