West Side Transport driver wins award

The Iowa Motor Truck Association presented Will Parrish of West Side Transport with an Outstanding Professional Driver Award during the IMTA Annual Management Conference’s Best of the Best Awards Luncheon held Sept. 23.

Parrish has served as a company driver with West Side Transport for his entire 15-year career and previously was named 2009 West Side Driver of the Year.

Parrish received a framed certificate surrounded by letters of commendation from Iowa Gov. Chester Culver, IMTA President Brenda Neville and IMTA Chairman Bob Kohlwes.

The Outstanding Driver Award is sponsored by the Iowa Council of Safety Management and is given each year in recognition of superior commitment to safety and professionalism by a driver. Drivers are nominated by their trucking companies based on their safety and performance records.
