Crete Carrier Corporation opened its new Knoxville, Tenn., terminal in September. Located west of Knoxville, the terminal, at 2229 West Buttermilk Road, Lenoir City, Tenn., sits next to Interstate 40 and Highway 321, and can be accessed using exits 364 and 362.
The terminal is built on 26 acres of fenced land and includes an office, driver center, tractor/trailer shop, technician lounge, and training room. It also has a separate facility for a truck wash, and a fuel island with an inspection lane. Fifteen acres of hard surface parking space will accommodate future fleet growth.
The environmentally friendly facility will recycle routine shop consumables, reclaim and recycle the wash water from the truck wash, and will use a waste oil heater for fuel to heat the shop in the winter.
