DOT giving $13 million for storm relief

The DOT is making $13 million immediately available to New York and Rhode Island for repair projects that are immediately necessary in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the department announced Wednesday. More money will be available for other states who request it, the DOT said, and the $13 million matches what the two states requested.
