TCA commits to hiring 50k military vets

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA), in partnership with Hiring Our Heroes and FASTPORT, has announced a commitment on behalf of its 700 member companies to hire 50,000 veterans and military spouses into the trucking industry over the next four years. TCA hopes that in addition to addressing the trucking industry’s ongoing need for new drivers and mechanics, Operation Heroes to Highways will also help to resolve veteran unemployment. FMCSA auditing 1,500 CDL schools as part of training provider registry purge

After removal of roughly 3,000 training provider listings on its registry, FMCSA is getting down to the tough work of in-person audits of more than 1,500 schools.
