VMAC’s Raptair-MF diesel engine-driven multifunction system is designed to be customizable and adaptable for mobile service technicians to run air tools, handle welding needs, boost and charge batteries and provide a source of power. The system consists of a Kubota diesel engine and a 45 cfm rotary screw air compressor and can be complemented with a 8,000-watt A/C generator, 300-amp DC welder, battery booster, battery charger and power-takeoff port with three different hydraulic pump options. The Stemco Equipment line of service tools and maintenance equipment includes the Stemco Equipment truck alignment system, wheel balancer, power press and Axle Pro Equipment system. The truck alignment system is designed to provide alignment measurements in less than three minutes through a wireless Bluetooth data connection without requiring an alignment bay. The wheel balancer features the company’s TouchSpin Technology designed to make wheel balancing simpler, safer, quicker and more accurate. The power press can be used for replacing bushings and bearings and performing other shop tasks, while the APE system uses presized and prehardened sleeves and a bushing design to help resize and enhance worn and out-of-round axle eyes.
Snap-on’s 14.4-volt 3/8-inch Drive MicroLithium Cordless Impact (CT761) is suited for cramped engine compartments and other restricted-access applications. The tool provides 120 ft.-lbs. of torque output and 2,000 rpms of free speed to handle a wide range of torque applications. A variable-speed toggle-style trigger is designed to provide added control, avoiding overtorqueing or snapping fasteners. A nose-mounted LED offers added light and warns the user if they are under voltage or over current, shutting down the impact before it overheats. The tool weighs two pounds and has a 2.0 Ah battery designed to provide longer run time; a fuel gauge notifies the operator how much battery life is left. The battery recharges in less than an hour.
Redline’s HD PowerSmoke high-pressure diagnostic leak detection equipment is built to detect high-pressure leaks in heavy-duty trucks, helping to increase fuel economy, reduce downtime, eliminate comebacks and solve reoccurring diesel particulate filter problems. The device is designed to replicate a high-pressure boost load so the entire system can be tested for faults while the engine is off.
Gates’ Belt Wear Gauge for serpentine belt inspection is designed to help determine if a belt should be replaced by gauging material loss between the belt’s grooves. Designed with input from professional technicians, the tool is engineered to provide instant pass/fail results, making it easier to diagnose proper preventive maintenance.
