Georgia Freightliner dealer partnering with local tech college for diesel training programs

Peach State Freightliner, Georgia’s largest Freightliner dealer, has partnered with Gwinnett Technical College to provide more than $100,000 in equipment, training and scholarships.

The partnership specifically addresses needs in the college’s diesel program that offers certificates in both Heavy Diesel Service Technician and Diesel Power Generation. Peach State Freightliner has already implemented a web-based training program that can be used for 40 students per class at two classes per year, allowing traditional courses to be taught in a hybrid of in-class and online instruction.
