The Bestpass network now unifies toll road coverage on a single transponder, announced President and CEO John Andrews.
“We are launching the nation’s first single device, coast to coast,” he said today during a Mid-America Trucking Show press conference.
That service, Bestpass Complete, gives customers national toll coverage, with optional weigh station bypass compatibility and comprehensive reporting for all major U.S. toll roads. There will be a single installation and single report for each truck in a fleet.
Bestpass Complete will cost owner-operators $7 to $10 a month per truck, but that cost will be more than covered by 20 percent volume discounts obtained by Bestpass and passed on to its smaller customers.
Also, the new Freedom Service offers coast-to-coast violation and out-of-Bestpass network toll statement processing.
“It picks up all the gaps,” Andrews said, relieving customers of tracking and processing those costs. Out-of-network bills can be submitted for inclusion on their single monthly invoice and comprehensive toll data reporting.
Andrews also announced that Bestpass expects to have live coverage in Oklahoma late this month. That means the network will include 100 percent of all major U.S. toll roads.
