On the heels of changes to its carrier contracting program to reward carriers with superior performance, C.H. Robinson announced the release of Navisphere Carrier, a mobile app designed with greater levels of automation to support carriers working with the 3PL. As previously reported, Navisphere Carrier is expected to support more than 15,000 current users of the company’s former app, CHRWTrucks, and provide access to the tens of thousands of loads C.H. Robinson books daily.
Robinson says the on-demand technology – built with its partner carriers for them – was developed to support the more than 50,000 small carrier businesses C.H. Robinson works with. The technology is available on both iOS and Android-powered mobile devices, enabling carriers to run their businesses in ways that matter most, the company says: accessibility wherever and whenever they need it, increased connectivity to their drivers and C.H. Robinson, expanded planning capabilities and expedited payment processes.
“We recognize that time is money to our contract carriers. And with the streamlined workflow we provide through the Navisphere Carrier mobile app, we expect to help our contract carriers reduce the amount of time they spend booking loads and submitting updates,” said Kevin Abbott, vice president of North American surface transportation, truckload. “Through this app, we are helping contract carriers find and secure loads more quickly, thereby helping them meet their business goals.”
