Baylor Trucking announced this week the expansion of its Veteran’s Recognition Program with a pay increase for its military veteran drivers.

The company is giving its drivers who served in the Armed Forces an increase of one cent per mile for road drivers, a $1 per hour increase for local drivers and a 1 percent salary increase for office associates. Baylor says the increases are expected to provide an additional $50,000 to military veterans in the company and additional earnings for new hires.

“For the sacrifices these brave men and women have made for our country, this program is another way our company can say thank you,” said Cari Baylor, president of Baylor Trucking.

Veteran drivers at Baylor are also issued specially-wrapped trucks decorated with the U.S. flag, the Constitution and patriotic themes, and each veteran receives a star truck decal for his or her branch of service.
