Wireless headset manufacturer BlueParrott introduced at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas its newest headset that is designed to be more comfortable for drivers and workers wearing hats, whether for style or work environment.

The new C400-XT, which will begin shipping in October, can be worn over the head like traditional wireless headset, or around the back of the head on either the right or left ear, whichever the user prefers.

The headset features a 96 percent noise canceling microphone with high definition voice, a 24-hour talk time and an IP rating, making the headset water and dust resistant.

For a fully hands-free device, once the headset is paired via Bluetooth to a phone, the headset can function off of voice controls for answering and ignoring calls, sending text messages and more.

“The built-in voice control feature provides safety and convenience for truck drivers,” says Dave Jaques, director of product management for BlueParrott. “They can be completely hands-free to cut down on distractions while going down the road.”
