Truck drivers planning to drive their trucks to the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas, in August will once again be able to park for free in the TA-Petro Truck Parking Community.
The show will be held Aug. 23-25. Like in previous years, TA-Petro Truck Parking Community will be located at the Cotton Bowl’s Fair Park. There will be free shuttles to and from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, where GATS will be held. Shuttles will run between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., every 15-20 minutes, on Thursday, Aug. 23; from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24; and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.
Some amenities that will be offered at the truck parking lot include a shower trailer and basic truck maintenance services provided by TA-Petro, a food truck, live music, pet grooming and more. Additionally, there will be a live auction and a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the St. Christopher Truckers Fund.
Registration for GATS is available for free online. Those who register before July 31 will be entered into the Great GATS Giveaway for a chance to win one of three prizes. The grand prize includes two-night accommodations, two VIP concert passes, two GATS VIP preview passes, a tag-along with a Pride & Polish judge, a $250 pre-paid credit card and a $50 voucher to the GATS show store. The second prize includes two-night accommodations, two GATS VIP preview passes, a $150 pre-paid credit card and a $35 voucher to the GATS show store. The third prize includes two-night accommodations, two GATS VIP preview passes, a $100 pre-paid card and a $25 GATS show store voucher.
