Pilot Flying J is participating in American Heart Month in February by aiming to raise $1 million for the American Heart Association.
The company’s second year of the “Life is Why We Give” campaign will allow truckers to purchase paper hearts for $1, $3 or $5 at all PFJ locations, with the full amount being donated to the AHA. Drivers can also choose to round-up their purchase to the nearest whole dollar, and PFJ will donate the round-up amount. Additionally, drivers can donate any amount online here.
On Feb. 8, drivers using the myPilot mobile app will receive 500 rewards points with the purchase of a $5 heart. Throughout the month, truckers can also use their points to round-up their purchase to the next dollar.
Last year, PFJ and its customers raised $981,000 for the American Heart Association. This year’s $1 million goal would help the organization provide more than 60 million children with healthy school lunches.
