Blue Parrott B350-XT

Blue Parrott’s B350-XT noise-canceling Bluetooth headset is equipped with VoiceControl, which allows truckers to answer or reject calls with just their voice, providing fully hands-free use while on the go.

The headset features noise cancellation that blocks out 96 percent of background noise. Users also can customize the headset using the exclusive Parrott Button for one-touch access to favorite features and applications.

It also features an improved headband for added comfort and up to 24 hours of talk time for all-day use. The headset also has an IP54-rating to protect against dust and moisture and has an expanded wireless range of 300 feet from paired Bluetooth devices.

Trimble digital video recorder

Trimble’s two-channel digital video recorder records high-definition video from up to two cameras as part of its Video Intelligence solution. Designed for smaller fleets and lighter-duty vehicles, the two-channel DVR is smaller and is simpler to install, according to the California-based company. The two-channel DVR stores more than 72 hours of video and has two SD card slots for expandable storage.

Trimble also introduced a new video on-demand plan that enables fleets to retrieve only the videos they want, which are sent in near-real time via 4G LTE networks for viewing in the Video Intelligence portal and on connected smart devices.

Trimble’s Video Intelligence provides fleets a neutral eyewitness perspective in and around their vehicles through a combination of forward-, side- and rear-facing cameras. Videos are triggered by company-controlled settings, including sudden acceleration or hard braking.

Rand McNally recently released its updated 2020 Motor Carriers’ Road Atlas for truckers, which includes updated U.S. and Canadian maps, low clearance and weigh station locations and more.
