“There’s two kind of drivers out here — ones that think this is just a job, and the other ones who are passionate about this.” Owner-operator Steve Allington is one of the latter, he says, in Tex Crowley’s latest edition of the “Life of a Trucker” video series. Landstar-leased Allington, otherwise known as “Snorelord” — he’s also in a metal band called Apnea, hence the handle — delivers the line at the penultimate moment, after detailing his youthful obsession with the movie “Convoy,” his father’s trucking work and more.
