I imagine it was a bit of a pick-me-up for an early-early morning for Sampson, the owner-op you’ll recall who was the victor in Overdrive‘s first annual Trucker Talent Search musical competition at the Great American Trucking Show, 2018 marking the fifth year running we’ve hosted the event.

Take a run through this year’s top 10 finishers among those who submitted videos to compete in the talent search via this link, and as for Sampson, have a look back at our podcast talk a year ago around the release of the record, titled after a track written in part for his mother and which Sampson laid down with the folks at AxleOutPro after winning the first talent search.
