Fitzgerald Glider Kits has announced it will serve as a sponsor for Laughlin Motorsports, a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) drag racing team, in 2018.

The company will serve as primary sponsor on Alex Laughlin’s pro stock Camaro at the Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, Tenn., in June, and will be a secondary sponsor throughout the rest of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season.

In addition to having the company’s name on the car, Fitzgerald is also providing a custom 2017 Peterbilt 389 for the Laughlin Motorsports team.

“We plan to build a hauler combination that will be second to none in the NHRA paddocks, hands down,” says Tommy Fitzgerald Jr.

Fitzgerald partnered with SignSmith in Crossville, Tenn., and Black Beard Designs to overhaul the look of the race trailer. The custom 389 will sport the green, black and white color scheme of Laughlin Motorsports.

“We love racing and we love big trucks, so when we were given the opportunity to build a totally custom race hauler, we jumped on it immediately,” says Robert Fitzgerald.
