The Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series and Mother Nature have been at odds with each other throughout the series’ 2018 schedule with several races having been postponed or canceled due to weather ranging from tornados to hurricanes.

What was supposed to be the season finale in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, this Saturday, Sept. 29, was canceled last week because of continued flooding from Hurricane Florence. The Myrtle Beach race marks the second race canceled because of Florence – the other was set for Sept. 15 in Anderson, South Carolina.

Series organizers have altered plans for the finale, however, and scheduled a race at Elko Speedway in Elko, Minnesota to close out the 2018 season on Oct. 13. The event will take place on a shortened schedule with gates opening at 11 a.m. and heat races beginning at 3 p.m. The feature race is set to begin at 5 p.m.

Following the race, a season awards party will be held at the track, and fans are welcomed to attend. The series champion will be crowned during this event.

Tickets for the Elko race are available online for $25 for adults. Children 8 and under get in free.
