John and Andrea Sumner’s 2016 Volvo VNL 780

This 2016 Volvo VNL 780 is owned by John and Andrea Sumner, owners of Sumner Trucking Company out of Layton, Utah. The couple runs its one-truck operation through the spot market out West hauling dry, non-hazardous freight. The rig itself sports a 500-hp Volvo D13 with a Volvo I-Shift automated transmission. They pull a 2016 Stoughton air ride food-grade van. Both the truck and trailer are spec’d to meet California’s CARB requirements. The truck is stock as of now, but the Sumners plan to add more lights and chrome in the future.
