Casey Conrey, owner of Poseyville, Indiana-based AN Transport, is "Never Satisfied" with the quality of his equipment, as the 2008 Kenworth W900L featured in this video makes clear.

He bought his first truck -- a straight dump -- with his wife, Amanda, when he was 19 and she was 18. A few years later, they bought a tractor and started hauling ammonia before getting into moving equipment and other flatbed work.

Now, almost 20 years after buying that first dump, AN Transport runs about 35 trucks running flatbed, hauling construction equipment and more in heavy-haul operations. The fleet stays mostly regional in the Midwest.

Conrey was on hand at the 2024 Stars, Stripes and White Lines Truck Show at Atlanta Motor Speedway, hosted by the Bennett Family of Companies, with his “Never Satisfied” 2008 Kenworth W900L that he’s owned for about two years.

The impressive truck was built for heavy-haul, but today it’s mostly just used for show. Conrey said the company will occasionally pull some empty trailers with it or, using a matching trailer, haul some small loaders and other equipment.

The W9 was originally custom built by Never Satisfied Builds, a division of J&L Contracting out of Springfield, Missouri, who owned the truck originally.

AN Transport's 2008 Kenworth W900LWhen Conrey and AN Transport bought it, it had a 280-inch wheelbase, which they had stretched to 320 inches by the Never Satisfied team.

Since acquiring the unit, AN Transport has heavily customized it as a true showpiece.

Engine compartment of AN Transport's 2008 Kenworth W900LStarting in the engine compartment, the 550-hp Cummins ISX has had cover plates added to it “to kind of cover all the wiring harnesses,” Conrey said.

Coupled with the Cummins engine is an 18-speed transmission with 4.30 rears.

The engine compartment also features chrome brake chambers and plenty more “to doll the engine bay up.”

The rig’s dash and other elements are painted, done by Davis Brothers Designs, with white and red button tuck upholstery throughout, as shown below.

As is the case with many Davis Brothers interiors, the sound system packs a punch.

Sleeper compartment of AN Transport's 2008 Kenworth W900LThe sleeper compartment of the truck features four 10-inch subs, each paired with its own amplifier. The system pushes about 4,800 watts, Conrey noted.

Built for heavy haul, the truck boasts a 46,000-pound rear suspension with a 20,000-pound lift axle. Covering the tires and wheels at the rear of the rig are triple-hump fenders from Bad Ass Custom Truck Parts.

Intricate pinstriping up and down the exterior was done by Maceo, Kentucky-based Darin Bean, owner of Darin’s Customs.

Pinstriping on AN Transport's 2008 Kenworth W900LConrey said the pinstriping is “incorporated all the way through. … We’ve even put it on the brake drums and just kind of incorporated it everywhere we could. Kind of give it an old-school look with a new-school kind of taste to it.”

Casey Conrey: So, my name's Casey Connery with AN Transport out of Poseyville, Indiana. It's our 2008 Kenworth 900L. Name's Never Satisfied for the truck.

So the truck is a 320 wheelbase, factory heavy-haul truck. So it's a got a ISX engine in it. You can see where we've built these cover plates to kind of cover the all the wiring harnesses. Down in here we've got chrome brake chambers and different things that we kind of have done to doll the engine bay up.

Stainless firewall cover that we incorporated down into a lower cover as well. It's kind of a mirror image. It looks like you're looking past the the ground, and it looks like just you're looking into this nice, clean area. It's actually it's a reflection. So it's kind of a cool little piece to it.

So stepping into the interior side of things, it's all completely painted interior. All dash goes into white with red button tuck. The carpet is actually, a red carpet that is laid down in three pieces with the red and then the white, and then the blue stripes.

There's four 10s back here, cover and speakers everywhere else, and it's pushing about 4800 watts on the actual sound system. But, it's a pretty wicked sound system, each 10, so there's four 10s in it, and each 10 has its own individual amp. Yeah. So it's it's pushing pretty hard. It it cranks it out. So the interior is done by Davis Brothers Designs and Owensville, Indiana. And then the the actual truck was, original build by Never Satisfied Builds in Springfield, Missouri.

So kind of moving back, the truck started out as a 280 wheelbase that was stretched to a 320, and it's a factory 46,000 pound suspension with 20,000 pound lift axle.

Coming back here, it's got Bad Ass rear full fenders. Darren Bean from Maceo, Kentucky, done all of our pinstriping and got to incorporate it all the way through, tied the name into it and, and really did a pretty, pretty solid job just all the way through on it. And other than that, she's a kind of what you see, and a lot of custom little one-off pieces throughout the truck that got a lot of nice little fine details to it.

But we've had this for a little over two years. So they had named it Never Satisfied prior to us buying it. But if you talk to the guys in our shop, they, they said the name is very fitting and, you know, never satisfied, always something, something else coming up. And so it's pretty fitting. Pretty pretty cool.
