Giti’s SmartWay-verified GT Radial GDL651FS drive tire for long-haul applications has a low-rolling-resistance compound engineered to improve fuel economy and deliver low heat generation for added durability. Four zigzag longitudinal grooves are designed for added traction and driving stability, while a continuous shoulder rib design helps prevent irregular wear for longer mileage; optimization of the tread block ratio also helps prevent irregular wear by creating uniformity in block stiffness. An enhanced angle in the groove wall and tie bar helps prevent stone trapping. The GDL651FS, with a 26/32-inch tread depth, initially is available in size 295/75R22.5; the line will be expanded to all low pro and tall sizes.

FMCSA offers details on proposed HOS-flexibility pilot programs
