Small fleet and other truck owners investing in a full-coverage dashcam system can take advantage of a deal from cam provider Vantrue that offers up to $159 select bundles through Aug. 17.
Among camera systems with savings available is an LTE Dashcam Bundle that includes everything needed to get a system up and running to provide 24-hour monitoring around the truck.
Vantrue's Nexus 5S dashcam
The camera system includes four cameras that, while designed mostly with passenger vehicles in mind, can provide views out the front of the cab, of the driver, of the cab from the rear, and behind the vehicle. Interior-facing cameras record at 1080P and 30 FPS, the front camera at 2.7K (1944P) and 30 FPS, and the rear-facing camera at 1440P and 30 FPS.
Using the bundle’s included hardwire kit, a 24/7 parking monitor system records all from all four cameras with 10-second pre-recording to capture the full context of any event. Four parking modes cover different monitoring needs, Vantrue notes.
With the included 4G LTE module, when the dashcam detects any suspicious movement, such as someone approaching the vehicle or attempting to break in, it can send alerts to your phone via a connected app. Alerts allow notification of potential threats or incidents even when you're not with your vehicle, enabling you to take appropriate action, whether contacting authorities or checking a live feed from the cam to assess the situation.
