The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration announced it will host two listening sessions about the agency’s proposed hours of service changes.

The sessions will be held Friday, Aug. 23, at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, and on a yet-to-be-determined date in September at the U.S. Department of Transportation Media Center in Washington, D.C.

The GATS listening session, which will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, will begin at 10 a.m. and is scheduled for two hours. FMCSA says the listening sessions will allow the public to present comments, views and relevant research on the proposed hours changes.

FMCSA says it will publish the date for the September listening session at a later time.

The sessions are open to the public. Speakers’ remarks during the sessions will be limited to 10 minutes each.

GATS will be held Aug. 22-24 in Dallas. Registration is available for free online before the show.
