The above is the latest single from Erich McMann’s “Trucker Country” record of Western Swing stylings, released earlier this year. The “Santa was a trucker” tune riffs on a trope that’s always at least somewhat prominent this time of year in the trucking world, if not always in the mainstream.
Here’s one regular readers may well remember from a couple years back by driver/singer-songwriter Bill Weaver, sure to bring a smile to your face today — about the year that the truck drivers saved Santa’s Christmas delivery.
