The Wyoming Department of Transportation is warning drivers of another slow-moving super load along I-80, scheduled to roll out at 7 a.m. local time.
The load is traveling from Laramie to Medicine Bow with a top speed of around 25-30 mph. That speed will drop to 5 mph when crossing bridges.
WB I-80 traffic from Laramie to Arlington should expect delays, WYDOT said.
The last such load hit significant delays for days, and the loads themselves are part of a series of giant windfarm equipment moving across the state this summer.
Andrea Staley, a spokesperson for Wyoming DOT, noted that after this, there are likely two more superloads moving as part of the project. Wyoming DOT officials don't get more than 24 hours' notice of the moves, and encourage drivers to check District 1's Facebook page or to contact the state DOT directly.
