The History Channel on Wednesday announced it's bringing back “Ice Road Truckers” for "an epic season twelve return on Wednesday, October 1 at 9:30pm ET/PT, complete with some of the show's most beloved truckers."

The series premiered in 2007, and launched a spin-off, "IRT: Deadliest Roads," in 2010, but it last aired eight years ago in 2017. Now, "the fearless truckers return like never before to the treacherous terrain of icy roads and frozen lakes in Northern Canada, delivering crucial supplies and necessities to isolated communities," according to the press release from History.
