Hundreds of historic trucks from across North America are set to roll into Springfield, Missouri, this week to take part in the annual American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) National Convention & Truck Show. The 2026 event is being held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
Tuesday, June 2, registration opens on-site. The main show dates are June 4-6 and will feature a display of restored trucks and rare working units, along with vendor exhibits, educational sessions and other activities. Gates for the main show: Open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, June 4-5, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6.
A special highlight this year includes a group of truck enthusiasts from Mexico bringing approximately 50 rigs to the show.
Attendees can also enter a raffle for a chance to win two VIP tickets to the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 27.
Daily gate admission for ATHS members is $15, while non-members can enter the show grounds for $20. Children 16 and under get in free.
The annual truck show’s location in Springfield coincides with the 100th anniversary of Route 66, along which Springfield is a key stop. This year’s ATHS convention has been recognized as an official attraction of the Route 66 Centennial Celebration.

“Each truck on display has its own story, history, and craftsmanship,” said ATHS Convention Committee Chair Peter Wild. “The convention provides a welcoming space for all trucking enthusiasts to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and share the passion for trucking history during the show and at special events throughout the week. And it’s not too late to display a truck, just show up at the fairgrounds during the show hours and we can get you registered onsite.”
While pre-registration has closed, truck owners are still encouraged to participate with on-site registration opening Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds. Truck registration is $45 per truck for members and $60 per truck for non-members.
