The 44th Shell Rotella SuperRigs working truck show got underway at the iconic Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, yesterday to showcase some of the premier working show trucks from around North America.

Shell Rotella Brand Manager Julie Wright said this year’s iteration includes contestants from across the U.S. and Canada with judging taking place in more than 12 categories.

The show is made up of working trucks, Wright noted, “and you can just really see the pride, the dedication, the personalities that come through with these trucks,” she said. “The themes, the colors, all the polishing and care that is being taken” prior to judging.

More than $25,000 in cash and prizes is on the line for competitors -- as well as one of 12 coveted spots in the 2027 Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar.

Overdrive Video Editor Lawson Rudisill is on location for this year’s event, meeting with owners, hearing their stories. Below, catch some shots from day one, and keep tuned for plenty more coverage from the show in the coming weeks and months.
