Kevin Smeltzer drives this 2025 Peterbilt 589 for Ontario, Canada based Luckhart Transportation Limited, which specializes in humanely transporting livestock across the U.S. and Canada.
Smeltzer is a company driver, but "had a part in spec'ing it out." The 589 sports a 265-inch wheelbase with a Cummins X15 putting out 500 horsepower with a 3:55 ratio in the rears.

With 70,000 miles on the truck he jumped in when it was brand-new, Smeltzer is a fan of Peterbilt's newest model.
"I only have good things to say about the 589," he said. "It's comfortable, quiet and rides excellent. I really enjoy the wider cab. The bigger windshield isn’t even that noticeable when sitting in the driver seat."
