More than 26,000 Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack trucks recalled over transmission issue
The recalls from Paccar, Volvo and Mack all stem from issues on trucks equipped with automated manual transmissions. In the affected trucks, an internal component in the clutch assembly could fail. Daimler Trucks and Great Dane also recently issued unrelated recalls.

Autonomous retrofitter Embark appears to be hauling Amazon freight in testing
Embark, a startup aiming to develop an autonomous retrofit system for Class 8 trucks, said this week it operated 124,000-plus miles of semi-autonomous testing last year. A photo posted to Reddit this week also shows the company appears to have partnered with major online retailer Amazon.

CES: Peterbilt adds third model to electric truck lineup, Continental demos delivery robot concept
Peterbilt this week debuted its third all-electric truck offering, unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas the battery-powered medium-duty Model 220EV cabover. Also at CES, Continental showed off a driverless delivery van concept capable of delivering packages to homes, the company says, via four-footed robots.
