Glen Rice’s 2007 big-bunk W900 and savings from next-gen oil bypass, fuel treatment
Rice has benefited the last couple of years from a bypass-oil-filtration and fuel-additive system he purchased from the Clean Air Fleet company. The oil filter medium in the system filters out particles down to 1 micron. With it on-board, Rice has extended his typical oil-change interval to 40,000 miles or more.

With the turn of the calendar to July, truck drivers will see increased diesel fuel prices in 12 states due to rising fuel taxes. Nationwide fuel prices down 10 cents in last month
Since hitting the highest price of the year during the week ending May 6, diesel fuel prices across the U.S. have fallen more than 10 cents to bring the national average to $3.07 per gallon, according to numbers from the Department of Energy.

Fuel taxes set to increase in Alabama, Arkansas
Alabama’s first fuel tax increase will take effect on Aug. 31 this year with a 6 cents-per-gallon increase. It will also increase by 2 cents on Oct. 1, 2020 and on Oct. 1, 2021. Arkansas’ 6-cent fuel tax increase will take effect Oct. 1 this year.

New California legislation would phase out diesel trucks by 2050
The legislation, introduced by California Sen. Nancy Skinner, whose district includes Oakland and Berkeley, would require a 40 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and an 80 percent GHG reduction by 2050.
