News roundup, Sept. 19: Flooding closes portion of I-29 in Iowa, PFJ opens new Illinois location
As of Thursday afternoon, I-29 in Iowa between the Missouri state line and U.S. 34/U.S. 275 is closed intermittently due to flooding. Pilot Flying J opened a new location in Marshall, Illinois. Transervice collected more than 2,000 pounds of food for Move for Hunger.

Interstate closures planned this weekend in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Arizona
A section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and I-70 in Kansas City will be completely closed this weekend for construction projects, while I-17 near Anthem, Arizona, north of Phoenix, will be reduced to one lane for part of the weekend.

I-24 closed in downtown Nashville Friday night through early Monday
TDOT has a closure set for the I-24 section of the downtown Nashville, Tenn., interstate loop from the I-40 at the Silliman Evans bridge to I-65 on the Northeast side of the downtown area. The closure begins at 9 p.m. tonight, Friday, August 2, and runs through Monday, August 5, at 5 a.m.

Closures set for I-15 through Las Vegas, I-10 through Phoenix this weekend
The Nevada Department of Transportation will close I-15 North between Sahara Avenue and D Street, an approximately 2.5-mile stretch, between 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, and 6 a.m. Monday, June 17. The Arizona DOT will close I-10 East between 83rd and 51st avenues from 9 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday.

New Montana law will raise truck speed limits
Montana Gov. Steve Bullock signed into law this month a bill that will raise the speed limit for trucks on interstates from 65 to 70 miles per hour. The bill also raises the speed limit for trucks on other highways in the state from 60 to 65 mph.

Truck rolls over, spills honey on eastbound I-80/94 in Indiana
Indiana State Police say the truck was hauling 41,000 pounds of honey, and when the truck rolled over, five of the containers came out of the box trailer, some of which are leaking onto the interstate.

I-95 will close at exit 9 in Stamford, Connecticut, on Friday, May 31 at 11 p.m. through Monday, June 3 at 5 a.m., as well as between Friday, June 7 and Monday, June 10.

I-10 Westbound to close through Phoenix this weekend
Westbound I-10 will be closed between 51st and 83rd avenues between 10 p.m. Friday, May 10, and 5 a.m. Monday, May 13. The closure will allow Arizona Department of Transportation crews to apply a new layer of asphalt through the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway work zone.

The I-71 Southbound weigh station near Walton is closed for repairs from April 29 through May 3 at 7 a.m. The southbound and northbound I-75/71 rest areas in the same area will close temporarily in May for repairs.
