Shell unveils synthetic gear oil
Shell Lubricants has introduced a synthetic gear oil for automated mechanical transmissions. Shell Spirax S6 GXME is designed for transmissions such as the Volvo I-Shift and Mack mDrive. It offers extended drain potential up to 250,000 miles, according to Chris Guerrero, Shell Rotella brand manager. It carries an API GL-4 category and is SAE 75W-80.
