According to FMCSA, Daya was formerly known as Ekam Truck Line. In 2017, Ekam agreed to enter a Consent Order in order to upgrade its safety rating from Unsatisfactory to Conditional. The fleet’s Unsatisfactory rating was the result of a number of safety violations, FMCSA says.

Fireworks haulers seek ELD exemption for Independence Day period
If granted the exemption, APA members that already hold the 14-hour HOS exemption would be able to continue using paper logs instead of ELDs. Approximately 51 of APA’s 250-plus member companies hold the exemption.

FMCSA updates CSA SMS with new ELD violations, releases severity weights
Several middle-severity weightings have been assigned to some ELD violations for CSA SMS rating purposes, though most come with very low weights. New variations of the 395.8(a) violation now distinguish between carriers required, or not, to have an ELD in the data.
