News roundup, Nov. 22: Load of beer marks Nikola’s first delivery; Navistar driver assist system windshield mounting OK’d

Navistar has been granted a waiver to allow its advanced driver-assistance systems to be mounted lower on the windshield than current regs allow. AMBEST nearly doubled its annual donation to the St. Christopher fund to more than $30K. Nikola’s hydrogen-electric truck made a delivery for Anheuser-Busch.

A big winner among several at the first-ever American Pride Truck Charity benefit show for St. Christopher, held in truck parking at GATS, was “The Family Tree”, a mural-wrapped 2018 Peterbilt 579 owned and operated by the O’Donnells, of Tennessee. It’s intended “to celebrate the history and culture of trucking,” Holly says.
