Chuck Timbrook’s project Black Out rig: All done
The 1.5-year project over, owner-operator Charles Timbrook will now make the rounds of a variety of military tribute rides and trucking shows, with the Pa.-W.Va. God Bless America Ride among the very first.

Among the last additions to matte-black painted daycab was this wood-worked eagle bolted above the helmet, gun and boot on the custom fifth wheel cover by Hopewell Sheet Metal of Hagerstown, Md., which also did the deckplating work. (See the galleries below for more images.) The eagle is the work of a Marine Corps veteran and friend Timbrook knows from the local bowling alley. “He’s 75 years old, and I know him just as Pappy,” Timbrook says. “He called me up one day and said, ‘I have something for your truck for you,'” and that he’d be honored if Timbrook used it. “I said, ‘I sure will.'”
